Robin Hood's Bay is an artists haven.

The smokey atmosphere of the old town Robin Hood's Bay seeps out of this wonderfully tactile painting. The image is scratched and scraped out of the canvas in a deliberate attempt to echo the efforts made by the generations of fishermen who made a living from the sea in this rugged part of England. No sign of Robin Hood but, if you look hard and long, you will see the face of an Old Salty Seadog among the cottages.
